Literature Text
The end of summer quickly came,
this life would never be the same,
hand in hand, hearts in rhythm as one,
flesh absorbing the warmth of the sun,
whispers upon her sweet soft skin,
the heart is ablaze, deep within.
Our bodies lost in a sea of wildflowers,
off the roadside, a place we made ours,
every passing moment, seconds in heaven,
our sinful life, god must have forgiven,
accepting your love as you do mine,
your lips as sweet as canary wine.
Swept away in this loves tide,
rising behind on the far side,
fluttering about in the sky above,
as if somehow fueled by our love,
we tried to count, to many to see,
floating so delicate, comely and free.
Like a silent song, so elegantly played,
all around us, begins their serenade,
I feast your eyes, seeing loves decree,
there in our gaze, so plain to see,
threads entwined, in the blink of an eye,
she and I, under a butterfly filled sky.

What Do You See?
"Looking in the mirror, what do you see?"
I see a girl that cries too much
I see a child being excluded
I see me
A loner wanting friends
I see eyes that change with the mood
Wishing they were more blue than grey
I see a teen contemplating suicide again
I see a woman hurt and rejected
I see a child who always feels unwanted
Whose parents make it clear she never was
I see a widow crying for her lost love
I see a child cowering in fear
Her parents fighting again
I see the girl stabbed in the back by a friend
I see a lonely girl wanting to be held
And be told that everything will be alright
I see the pained expression of a girl d

The One I Love
The One I Love
Mere words,
No matter how poetically written,
Or poetically intended,
Can ever do you the justice,
You deserve
I compare you to the sun,
Because you are the one,
I love
You are more radiant even,
Than the stars in the sky,
More mysterious, it's true,
Than the inky night
The secrets you hold,
Are secrets we share,
And when the morning comes,
I feel you everywhere
I sense you near me,
Even when you are not,
We are connected completely,
Even in our thoughts
You are a gift I have been given,
I know you feel the same,
We hold each other high,
Even through the pain
I spend much time,
Through wor

and I Won't Blame You
Why aren't we allowed to love passionately any more?
It's adolescent, irrational, overly emotional.
Only ever be mildly interested, quite fond.
Well, I'm sorry, but I fell spiralling in love with you.
It inconvenienced me more than it did you.
I didn't plan it, I fought it violently, but it happened none the less.
